What we did today 1/16/13
This morning, we sixth graders worked on our spelling worksheet. After we did English for a little bit. we started Spanish and had a Spanish test on "la casa." When Spanish was over we finished up English and ate snack. After snack was over we had recess and went to P.E and had a new sport which was football. We had an amazing time and can't wait for P.E next week! Once P.E was over ewe headed over to science and corrected some homework. After science we went back to the classroom for lunch and then SSR (sustain silent reading).

Discipleship
During Mass on Friday Father Labib spoke to the students about the meaning of discipleship. He asked several students to tell him their definitions of disciples and then asked all the students to go back to class and reflect further on the meaning of being a disciple.
Here is what the Sixth Grade thinks.

Heroes
We are happy to be back from Thanksgiving break. Before the break we had a Thanksgiving Prayer Service presented by our 1st graders. After that they awarded the Young Hero's Award to Jack Orlando. There was smoke at the bathroom and he told the extended care supervisors about it. They went in and saw the fire and called 911. Later everyone from extended care went to the gym and waited until the firemen came. This proves that a Kindergartener can make a big change in what happens in our school. If it wasn't for him it's possible the building could've burned down.
